At present, it is finishing, and prospective students are to pass entrance examinations. Foreigners who would like to study in Russia can take the last chance of becoming students of one of the Russian leading universities.

Currently international students can still be in time for applying to the country’s several best universities in Moscow and in the regions. Prospective students, students and postgraduate students fr om foreign countries can submit applications to the universities in Kaliningrad, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Yekaterinburg, Vladivostok, Samara and other cities.

"Foreigners can apply to Siberian State Medical University (SibMed) in Tomsk from June 1 through August 25. The university offer a course in General Medicine in English. SibMed students have a unique opportunity to study and practice at its own multidisciplinary clinics. As of today, there are already students from 28 countries at SibMed, for instance, from India, Nigeria, China, Namibia, Colombia, Greece, etc.," said SibMed Rector Olga Kobyakova. There are a number of sources from which prospective international students and foreign students obtain information on the leading universities. The main information sources for, for instance, prospective students from China, include consultancies, headhunters and intermediaries who have licenses for providing services in the sphere of education. Online tools, including Study in Russia, roadshows and exhibitions on education also help students obtain more information about a university. Apart from a university's website in English or in any other foreign languages and a university's social media accounts, a prospective student who would like to study in Russia can obtain all necessary information in five languages on the Study in Russia portal. Foreigners who study or had previously studied in Russia are another important information source. Besides, associations of relevant universities and network education projects involving universities (the BRICS Network University, the SCO University, Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU), etc.) help work with prospective students, increase brand awareness and improve the image. Educational organizations also use various forms of interaction such as forums, olympiads and summer schools.
